March 2026
Dear Friends,
I hope all is well with you and your family, and everyone is healthy, happy, and safe!
With Passover just about ONE month away! (April 1,) I reach out to you, my dear friend, with this personal request,
In the opening paragraph of the Haggadah recited at the Seder, we declare: "All who are hungry, let them come and eat." Our nation is a singular entity, and in order to experience freedom ourselves, we must also ensure that our brothers and sisters have the means to celebrate freedom too.
As such, in preparation for the Passover holiday, it is age-old Jewish tradition to contribute generously towards funds that ensure that indeed everyone who is in need has the necessary provisions for the holiday—food, matzah, wine, festive clothing, etc.
This special Passover food fund, originally intended to provide the poor with matzah, is known as Ma'ot chitim, "the wheat fund," or kimcha d'pischa, "Passover flour."Don't be left out of this centuries-old web of giving!
Chabad of Ridgefield will be distributing Pasach supplies(including Shmura Matzah and all the Seder ingredients) for Seders to those in need throughout Fairfield County. Unfortunately this year our task is more challenging then every year. We have already received countless requests from more families than usual for Passover help! Our Passover 2026 expenses is over $18,000! This year.
This money is raised specifically from our local generous community and friends who support the Vital work we do! 100% of the funds will be used for local Passover help!
Can we count on you for a Passover donation to help others enjoy the Holiday of Passover this year more than EVER!
And when you help others to celebrate a joyous holiday, G‑d will certainly reciprocate in kind, and grant you and yours a happy and HEALTHY kosher, a meaningful and liberating holiday of Passover!
Please let us know if we can count on you.
Wishing you a safe and healthy Kosher Passover
Sincerely,
Rabbi Sholom & Chana Deitsch
Chabad of Ridgefield
