What is Chabad of Ridgefield?
What a year 2020 has been! The world was shaken to its core as Covid-19 hit us like a ton of bricks. We were entirely unprepared, had no tools to handle it, and simply shut down. People across the globe still remain anxious and fearful over what will happen in the immediate future.
Throughout this entire period Chabad of Ridgefield - serving the Northern Fairfield County area was more active than ever before. Our physical doors may have been shut but this did not deter us or slow us down in any way. We are guiding people, counseling, praying, teaching Torah and hosting public and private online classes. Our Hebrew school and Cteen programs remain active. We were there, delivering food and basic necessities. Our crisis fund distributed hundreds of dollars to families in need.
And now as the end of year approaches a time of year we typically raise substantial funds. This year more then ever we urgently need your help and support.
Why does Chabad need YOUR help?
Running an operation like Chabad of Ridgefield requires a major investment of time, energy, and capital. While our Rabbi and Rebbetzin work tirelessly to ensure that no Jew is left behind, the day-to-day expenses of operating a Chabad center can be daunting. Rather than charging membership fees or exorbitant event prices, which could alienate some people, we rely solely on the generosity of the community that we serve to cover our annual budget of over $280,000.
