I agree 101% with the Rebbe." Shalom Bait: some opinions should be left opinions since, in retrospect, the disagreement would be perceived as minor. Friendships in life come and go, but a married partner is there for the rest of the journey in this life. If we think of that long journey together, it means finding ways to agree to disagree, leaving that alone, while agreeing wholeheartedly otherwise. The basic plan for the journey should be discussed beforehand, and a modicum of agreement done such as regarding the future: keeping a Jewish home bederech, ways to raise the children, who will be in charge of finances, and so on. Sorry , but "Love doesn't NOT conquer all." given divorces! Shalom bait is tied with " Mi hu sameach? H'asameach bechelko"= happy with one's own portion. As for world peace that requires more complicated political thinking, not comparable with "Sholem bait" since when attacked since Torah allows us to defend ourselves:" remembering Amalek! Reply

peace Peace not as the world defines peace, but as God does! When I allow Shalom to enter into my relationships and into my mind and heart, I no longer hold on to my right or wrong! Somehow life gets bigger than me! Reply

MARITAL PEACE You must've missed the title - Marital Peace. I strongly agree with the Rebbe, in which he's basically saying, just because you're right, doesn't mean you're right (in reference to the situation and your action/reaction). Reply

A marriage that is based on a "difficult peace" will bring unhappiness - to the whole family. Reply

I do not agree - taking this thought of a difficult peace - Israel should give in to every terrorist demand and what would be left of our homeland after that?

The Torah demands honesty. And giving in to someone who is wrong simply for the sake of peace is dishonest. Reply
